Surf Club!!!
Dwyer sponsors the Surf Club and Surf Team. All students are eligible to join the Surf Club. Some members of the Surf Club will compete for the school on the Surf Team. The Dwyer Surf Team competes in the National Scholastic Surfing Association. Beginning Tuesday, October the club will meet at the beach at 17th street for practice on Tuesday mornings from 6:15 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. Beginning in January, the Dwyer Surf Team practices every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:15 a.m. until 7:30 a.m., also at 17th street. State Championship Finals will be March 7 at Churches, and National Championship finals will be at Salt Creek. The end-of-the-year family surf party will be Saturday, June 6 from 9 am until 12 pm at 9th street and PCH. For further information contact Stacy Wood at stacy.wood@hbcsd.k12.ca.us.
